Aluminium PUR foaming tool for a dashboard

An existing plastic negative of a bus dashboard was digitalized and transformed into 3D data in the CAD system via grouping data.

According to the above, a complete tool structure including injectors, loseparts and ventilation system as well as CAM programming was created in the CAD application.

After completion of the cutting works and the finish, the loseparts were adjusted. To achieve a leather-like surface as demanded by the customer we created a foil with the according surface structure with a specially built vacuum tool and placed it in the aluminium form before the filling.
